Documentation:
* Will of Leon Herckenrath, naming his wife and children.
* Bill of Sale papers for Juliette. Juliette was a mulatto slave girl and purchased by Leon.
* Marriage documents for Holland where they were remarried.
* Birth & death documents for children born in South Carolina and Holland, except two.

Notes:
* Most children are buried at "Geerbron" the large family estate in Holland where Leon and Juliette are also buried.
* Leon was born into a wealthy Dutch family who came to South Carolina as Dutch Consul in charge of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
* Both John McCormick and Josephina were dead when Leon & Juliette married a second time in Holland.
* Josephina was a black slave who was owned by John McCormick. I had to place her as wife on the form but they were not married. She was owned by him. She was later owned by James de Magnan, a French Marquis. She was dead by the time Juliette died in 1856.
