* George Henry Schmitt was born 1840 Bavaria, Germany (cigar maker) according to the 1880 Utica, Onedia Census showing wife Mary C. born about 1842 children were Frank M., William, Edward Smith.
* Some times in the census he goes by George sometimes Henry.
* In the 1870 Canajoharie, Montgomery, NY Census it list Henry smith age 30, cigar maker, wife Mary C. age 28, sons, Frank M. age 9, Rhinehart age 3.
* He is my 2nd great grandfather.
* Information was from family knowledge.
* NY Oneida, Montgomery, NY Census.
* Also from the head stone in Glennville Cem. in Schenectady, NY list 153rd Regiment Company B.
