MRS. VOYLES DIES IN MEMPHIS
Mrs. Ethel Voyles Emmons, 70, of Memphis died at 2:05 a.m. Thursday in the Baptist Hospital.
Services will be held Friday afternoon at Farmington Church at a time to be announced later, with the Rev. Barney Proctor officiating.
A member of Olive Avenue Mission Church in Memphis, she is survived by two sons, Eugene and George, both of Memphis; one daughter, Mrs. Vera Brooks of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Hardin, Mrs. Telia King and Jennie Taylor, all of Corinth. Four brothers, Ed Anderson, John and Allen Voyles, all of Corinth; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. (Assume they omitted the comma between Ed and Anderson???) Obituary saved by Jewel Burress.
MRS. ETHEL EMMONS
Mrs. Ethel Emmons, 481 Simpson, died at Baptist Hospital at 2:15 a.m. today. She was 70.
A native of Corinth, Miss., Mrs. Emmons moved to Memphis 10 years ago to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Vera Brooks. She was a member of Olive Avenue Pentecostal Church.
She also leaves two sons, George Emmons and Eugene Emmons, both of Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Hardin, Mrs. Telia King and Mrs. Jenny Morgan, all of Corinth; four brothers, Ed Voyles, Anderson Voyles, John Voyles and Allen Voyles, all of Corinth; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Services at Farmington Baptist Church, Corinth, Miss., at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow. Burial in church cemetery, National Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Elmer Burres and her aunt, Mrs. Morgan Taylor, returned Tuesday afternoon from Memphis where they were at the bedside of Mrs. Taylor's sister, Mrs. Ethel Emmons who underwent surgery at the Baptist Hospital and is reported as doing nicely. (This must have created a stir in town since she's died two days earlier!!!).
