* From Ann Terry received in 1998.
1. Enoch enlisted in Mobile, AL on Dec. 2, 1847 and was honorably discharged on June 28, 1848. He served as a private in Company C of Captain Daniel Gibbs in the regiment commanded by Lt. Col. J.J. Seabils/Seabits?, Alabama Volunteers.
2. Enoch J. Dunnam and Rebecca E. Downin were married by James Kelly, Esquire on or about March 6, 1856 in the State of Mississippi.
3. Rebecca was born Feb. 8, 1833 at Lauderdale Co., AL.
4. Mexican War Pensions were enacted Jan. 29, 1887. Rebecca's application for pension was approved June 4, 1888. She was granted a pension of $8 per month on account of her dependence and disability because of obesity and heart problems. Mexican War pensions were increased to $12 per month by the Act of Dec., 1892. Rebecca appeared before the Tippah Co. clerk on Feb. 4, 1893 to petition for the increase. She was living at Clarysville, Tippah Co., MS at that time.

He was mustered March and April 1864. Says he enlisted: Oct. 1, 1862 at Enterprise, Mississippi by Major Berry for 3 years. Last paid by: Capt. Thompson to Dec. 31, 1863. Was present. July and August 1864 he was present. Remarks: Returned to his company the 6th of Nov. 1863 from which time pay is due him.
