* This YOUNG family lived in Twiggs County, Georgia at least from 1830-1849. They are on the 1830 & 1840 Twiggs County Census. They left in 1849 for California. There was a stop over on the stage route in Bossier Parish on Bodcau Bayou. They stayed there. Also with them was their oldest child, Elizabeth Rebecca YOUNG who had just married Newsome Andrew DURDEN, who was from Bibb Co. Ga. and son of Washington DURDEN & Hannah HALL DURDEN.
