(1) Essie Ulm WARE, widow of Harvey WARE, married ca 1922 to Jefferson C. Hughes. A second marriage for both, Mr. Hughes had first married Rosa ULM, Essie's younger sister. Mr.Hughes owned a very successful Broom Manufacturing Company in Birmingham.;
(2) Joseph O. Ulm and his wife Mary W. Clary were life-long residents of Linclon and Richmond Co., Georgia: In their later years, with Joseph having been ill for an extended period, they went to Birmingham so that their daughter, Essie, could care for them. Both, Joseph O. ULM and his wife Mary W. Clary ULM, died in Birmingham: They are both buried at West View Cemetery, Augusta, Richmond Co., GA.;
(3) Rev.Alexander S. ULM practiced law in Augusta before becoming a Methodist minister in 1912.;
(4) Joseph E. Ulm was a resident of Harlem, Columbia Co., GA at the time of his death in 1954. He is buried at Harlem Cemetery.
(5) Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ulm and her husband Joseph Edward Taliaferro lived for 53 years at 1566 Walton Way in Augusta. During that time they witnessed the transformation of Walton Road from a muddy plank road with a ditch down the middle to one of the largest residential streets in the city. He was a member of one of Augusta's oldest famlies. Joseph E. Taliaferro died January 18, 1949 and was the retired postmaster of the Hill Post Office. He and Lizzie had been married for 56 years and were the parents of four daughters and one son. Any additional information is greatly appreciated.
