This information places his birth 1807/1808 and states that he was born in South Carolina.
4. 1870 Fulton County, GA Census--no records. I have searched every page of the Fulton County census and also every page of the DeKalb County census (Henry lived very close to DeKalb County and may have lived there. He had deeds at the same time for many, many places in Fulton County. He also had deeds for DeKalb County--courthouse burned in 1842.)
I also have searched 1,001 ways through Ancestry.com's Census records and have found no trace of Henry or wife, Sardis. I believe I read that many individuals were left out of the 1870 census.
5. 1879 The Constitution, Atlanta, Georgia. The Constitution, Atlanta, Georgia, February 23, 1879--date of newspaper. "Henry Irby, an old citizen of this county, died at his residence near Buckhead, day before yesterday. He had pleurisy."

Sardis Cemetery is on Powers Ferry Road at the intersection of Roswell Road in Buckhead--technically Atlanta. Henry Irby's monument is the tallest one in the cemetery.
