Services for Mr. Guy S. Hilbun, 81, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church with burial in the Carters Chapel United methodist Church Cemetery. Revs. Eddie Hilbun and Kenneth Green will officiate.
Born in Laurens County, Mr. Hilbun was the son of the late Samuel H. and Beulah Alford Hilbun. He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. He died Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife, Louise S. Hilbun of Dublin; sons, Samuel A. "Sam" Hilbun of Dublin and Joel S. "Joe" Hilbun of Adrian; sister, Ella H. McRae of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Gwen Hilbun, Meleigha H. Haskins, Larsen E. Hilbun, Jessie Franks, Chance Franks and Dylan S. Pettis all of Dublin.
Pallbearers will be Allen Wynn, Jimmy Wynn, Paul Keene, Bryan Hilbun, Ralph Donaldson and Tedford Bland. Honorary escort will include Curtis Beall, Cecil Hightower, C.C. Pullen Sr., Edsel Senn, Clarke Senn, Oscar Smith, John Darley, Walter Wynn and Jon F. Helton.
The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home tonight from 7 until 9 p.m. Stanley Funeral Home of Dublin has charge of arrangements.
