Wounded, left shoulder, permanently disable, at Sharpsburg, MD, Sept. 17, 1862. Wounded at Gettysburg, Pa. July 2, 1862. On detached duty at C Cop Hospital April 9, 1865. Captured and paroled at Athens, Ga. May 8, 1865.
* William & Rebecca Dickson became memers of the Bethel Baptist Church, Hancock Co., Ga. in 1867. He was a deacon and served as Clerk there for 37 years, from 1875 until his death in 1913.
* This William S. was the nephew of William S. (1) and grandson of James Curry Dickson (1).

* David Dickson is not on the list of burials from "The Cemeteries of Hancock County, Georgia." Grave not found on visit of Dec 14, 2001. James Nathaniel Dickson remembers site as being beside Greene L. Dickson's grave just outside of fenced area. Neither tombstone could be found. Nathaniel is Greene Dickson's grandson and remembers his funeral.
