* In 1830 Twiggs Co., GA Census, there was a James AVERETT and a John AVERETT. 1840 Census Twiggs Co., GA Census, there was James Averet and Benjamin Averet. At some point, the spelling of the AVERETT name changed to AVRIETT after the family moved to Hamilton Co., FL.
