* Arkansas Deed Records Book H p. 238-239 show John W. McHorse purchasing land on 9/5/1853.
* Clark Co. Arkansas Marriage Record Book C p. 373 show John W. McHorse ordained by New Home Baptist Church, Clark Co. AR on 7/8/1858.
* State Land Office Tract Books book 68 show John W. McHorse purchased land with Military Service Warrant #45086 & 44995 in Sevier Co. Arkansas on 5/11/1857, 12/15/1857 and 01/16/1859.
