****** FAMILY HISTORY NOTES:: There is a discrepancy between family history and a history record at Cullman, Blount Co., AL. Historical Records (where I have visited & researched) regarding Louis Miller and his family as well as Louis' wife's name. Family history is certain it was "USHY" however Cullman County's one account of Louis is that her name was "NICEY." I was raised by my Grandmother Carrie Mae Upton & my GGM Roseann America "Anner" MILLER Upton (Uptain) who both factually verified her name as USHY. I believe that USHY was also either a Cherokee Native American Indian or a Creek Native American Indian per Oral Family History from my direct ancestors and the FACT that at least one of Louis Miller's daughters is absolutely listed in the DAWES INDIAN ROLLS & is living in Oklahoma Territory for at least one Census. She is listed as 100% Cherokee. I have researched our MILLER FAMILY for over 30 years now and am still looking for the graves of both Louis and Ushy Miller. There have been questions regarding Irish or German Ancestry of my Miller Family however I have verified with one living relative that they were indeed very Irish "...which is why each has strong Irish features still such as Red Hair, Fair Skin, etc." and can see clearly the same in all their family pictures.
